Development work as part of a self-realisation process for young people from the West
The purpose of this debate is to challenge the culture of self-realisation, which allows for volunteers with limited knowledge, skills and competencies, to travel abroad through different organisations to "save" people in the Global South and "solve" complex issues in vulnerable parts of the world - while displaying it at social media.
The debate event focuses on themes such as privilege, race, neocolonialism, identity, digitisation, responsibility and ethics.
Institutionalised whiteness in the danish educational system
The danish educational system is, like many other institutions, dominated by whiteness. Therefore we question whether the knowledge (re)produced is representative for different cultures, ethnicities, races and genders.
The debate event focuses on themes such as self-identification, affiliation, belonging, diversity and representation.
CULTURAL ENCOUNTERS IN CHILDREN'S LITERATURE
Representation and cultural encounters
This debate event is held in relation to the launch of the children's book "Nour og Noras første dag i børnehave" [Nour and Noras first day in kindergarden] by Camilla Kaj Paulsen.
At this event we wish to create a dialogue about themes such as stereotypes, misrepresentation, cultural encounters and structural racism.

Language and everyday life racism
This debate event is the first of a series of events that focus on structural racism and discrimination in Denmark.
The debate is initiated with a lecture by Mira Skadegård who is a researcher at Aalborg University. She has done research on structural discrimination with a focus on language and everyday life racism for many years.
